Season of celebration
October - November 2010
Greetings!
With Fall comes the time for preparation of the holidays, getting ready to bring loved ones from near and far into our homes, and to celebrate the things that make our lives warm even in the cooler months.

Please join our family at Peabody Gallery in celebrating this change of seasons by visiting our Menlo Park location and seeing our newest gallery curation. This month we focus on the work of such artists as Thomas Arvid, Michael Flohr, Thomas Easley, Markus Pierson, and Christopher M. Each with their own interpretation of what makes life full of warmth and meaning.
Thomas Arvid

ArvidArvid has prided himself at "Redefining the Modern still life". The magic of his painting is in Arvid's ability to visualize and chronicle an entire scene beyond the frame - to tell a story of enjoyment and the good life. The self-taught artist insists that wine should be approachable; his paintings are an embodiment of the casual way that we enjoy wine today. He is an appealing role model for a lifestyle of easy elegance and unpretentious charm.

Michael Flohr

Flohr

Michael Flohr, one of Southern California's hottest young 'urban' artists, has started to carve a niche for himself as an 'urban painter.' His work, actually the artist himself, is more than that: Flohr not only captures scenes of city life with his work, the work succeeds in imparting to the viewer the 'feel' and the 'rhythm' of the city.

Thomas Easley
 Easley
Thomas Easley is an American artist with an almost limitless set of artistic talents and skills. He is an author, does book illustrations and paints in a wide variety of media and themes. During his career he has done miniature paintings, marvelous architectural landscapes, nudes, still life's and has recently started two series of impressionistic paintings.

Markus Pierson
 Pierson
Markus Pierson has a focus on life that is wild and adventerous. What is the essence of The Coyote Series? "Chase a dream, live life like you mean it, love deeply, be a fool for your passions, and come what may, good or bad, book or bust, your life will have few regrets."
Using his work as a conduit for his manifesto on life, Markus strives to live by example. His works are wildly popular amoung the wild at heart and true romantics.

Christopher M.
 Christopher M.

The expressive, realist paintings of Contemporary painter Christopher M. remind us that artistic talent fused with good old-fashioned values never goes out of style. Creativity, beauty, integrity and hard work are constant companions to this artist's paint and canvas.
