Greetings!
Did you happen to notice the glorious daybreak this morning? Just before 6 am the sky to the east was a brilliant orange all the while the rain was gently pattering against the leaves of the trees. It was beautiful! Such a symphony of sound and color. Fantastic!

Tonight ...
| Let's all meet at the Henry Melville Fellowship Hall for our traditional Nelson Ham 'n Bean Supper. The cooks and bakers have been preparing for days to be able to serve to you the freshest pies, the most mouth-watering home-baked beans, and the most sumptuous and savory ham. Is your mouth watering yet?
Our traditional Ham 'n Bean Supper will be holding two servings at 5:00 & 5:45 pm at the Nelson Congregational Church in the Henry Melville Fellowship Hall. The traditional menu includes: Ham, baked beans, rolls, coleslaw, and delicious homemade pies. Adults - $8.00 a plate; children under 10 - $5.00 a plate.
And Then ...
at 6:30 pm in the Nelson Town Hall, The Olivia Rodham Memorial Library in Nelson Presents: "The Science Works!" with The Cabinet of Scientific Curiosities Stephen Lechner introduces his unusual "Cabinet of Curiosities" which, as he explains to the audience, mysteriously appeared on his doorstep one day with a note: "Please look after this cabinet, it is filled with all the dreams and inventions I have been working on since I was a baby." Steve proceeds to open the doors on the cabinet, each one revealing an object or experiment that imparts a science lesson. "Mysteries" in the box include such items as the Mysterious Bouncing Ball, the Laughing Cup, the Color¬Changing Mystery, the Magical Appearing Snow, the Dancing Monkeys, the Traveling Sand¬Bugs, the Anti¬Gravity Spray, and more.
(Funding for Kids, Books and the Arts was provided by the NH State Library, CHILIS, the Cogswell Benevolent Trust, the Bryne Foundation, the NH Library Association as well as a grant from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, also, by the Nelson Public Library)
