Greetings!

Scared jack-o-lanternHappy Halloween!

If you smell something delicious on the breeze, it's probably chicken pot pie, or gingerbread, or ... whatever it is, you'll find it at the Great Harvest Supper on Saturday.

And don't forget the Halloween Party at the Town Hall on Sunday afternoon!
Weekly Community Quote
"Without community service, we would not have a strong quality of life. It's important to the person who serves as well as the recipient. It's the way in which we ourselves grow and develop.'

NH Open Doors
NH Open Doors is an annual cooperative statewide touring and shopping event designed to showcase New Hampshire's outstanding artists, craftspeople, retail shops, specialty food producers, farm stands and orchards, wineries, restaurants, and lodging properties, as well as our cultural events and attractions.

This year, NH Open Doors will take place November 5 - 6. The weekend is a great opportunity for your community to promote the talented people who live and work there.

New Hampshire's historical organizations can participate in NH Open Doors-and raise their own profile-in many ways: by offering programming that demonstrates your mission; by inviting an artist, performer or craftsperson to use your space; by showcasing a local food producer; or through many other creative, community-building activities.

As key members of your community, you best know the local talent whose work is most admired. NH Open Doors can help shine a spotlight on their work-as well as on your own.

NH Open Doors is becoming an event that visitors and residents look forward to, tell their friends about and build their fall schedules around. Last year, more than 150 locations across New Hampshire, covering every region and county, participated in NH Open Doors, and they reported anywhere between 10 and 300 visitors over the course of the weekend.

More information about NH Open Doors, including how to register and an updated list of participants, is available at www.nhopendoors.com.
