Greetings!

We are half-way through the month of September, and the rest of the month seems like it will be quiet and calm.  There's plenty of great late-summer season left to visit with friends and neighbors, and our wonderful Nelson Elementary School reports a very successful beginning to a new school year.

It's been such a great summer season.  Now ... onward to the great and beautiful Fall season!

Hannaford Helps Schools
Hannaford Supermarket

Do a little "Hannaford Helps Schools" math - then imagine the possibilities!

From September 4 to December 3, 2011, when you purchase participating products in the Hannaford Helps Schools program, and you'll earn "school dollars" that our school can use to purchase sports equipment, art supplies, computers, books, musical instruments ... whatever our school needs most!

It's easy to donate - just deposit the school dollars into collection towers at our Keene Hannaford or submit them at your school.

Nelson School is a participant in the program, so look for our school on the collection tower.  You don't have to be a parent or relative of a Nelson School student to earn "school dollars".  Everyone who shops at Keene Hannaford can collect them and deposit them in the tower for Nelson School.

And, at the end of the program, our Keene Hannaford store will grant an additional $1,000 to the school in this area that earns the most money.  Nelson Elementary School has a long history of being the first.  We can do it again - with your help.

MiS Quarterly Board Meeting
The Quarterly Board Meeting for Moving In Step will be held tomorrow, Thursday evening, September 15th, at 7:00 p.m.  Once again, Dave Birchenough had generously offered to host this meeting.

All MiS Board Members are encouraged to attend, as well as any Committee Chairs who may wish to do so.  If there are any Committee Chairs who may be planning to request funding from MiS before our December Quarterly meeting, then these Committee Chairs are strongly encouraged to attend, as the Board will be discussing the application process.
