Sorry to be bringing this announcement to you so late, but we know that you want to be in the know.
Nelson is one of 6 towns chosen in Cheshire County for a presentation on what's happening at the Farm in Westmoreland. You are invited to come and share your ideas for the future use of this publicly-owned property and then enjoy some delicious Walpole Creamery ice cream! The Forum begins at 6:30 pm this evening in the Nelson Town Hall.

 | The Library Summer Forum presents: Bob McQuillen on July 14th
| The Olivia Rodham Memorial Library is hosting its annual Summer Forum every Thursday evening in July at the Nelson Town Hall.
This Thursday evening, July 14th at 6:45 pm, Bob McQuillen will offer "Old Time Nelson Tunes & Stories".
The evening begins informally at 6:45 p.m. with conversation, accompanied by the music of Sarah Kim.
We hope you'll come out and join us for what promises to be a very entertaining evening of music and story.

 | The Knitters & Crocheters Group | The Knitters & Crocheters Group will be meeting on July 14th, at 10:00 am. They meet at the Chapel By The Lake every other Thursday morning throughout the year. If you love to knit or crochet or you'd like to learn a new stitch or two, they'd love to have you join them.

 | "The Phantom of the Opera"
| "The Phantom of the Opera" will be shown followed by a Jungian Psychoanalytic Analysis by Richard Nicoletti at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 14th at the Chapel by the Lake in Munsonville. There will be a question and answer period to follow. This event is free, however your contribution would be greatly appreciated and benefit the Chapel by the Lake.  | Library Book Discussion Group | The Library Book Discussion Group will meet Monday morning July 18th, 2011 at 10:30 am to discuss "Giovanni's Light" by Phyllis Theroux.
Books may be borrowed from the library.

 | Dick Hensold in Concert
| Come to the Nelson Town Hall at 7:30 pm for something entirely different! Dick Hensold will be appearing for one night only, for a musical evening with one of America's finest and most unusual traditional bagpipers.
The concert will feature Hensold on Northumbrian smallpipes (a quiet bagpipe from Northeast England), reel pipes (an indoor version of the Scottish Highland pipes intended for Scottish dance music), seljefløyte (Norwegian willow-flute), säckpipa (Swedish bagpipes), pibgorn (Welsh hornpipe), and several other instruments.

 | Tuesday Evening Concert Series @ Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music | Each Tuesday evening performance features the Apple Hill String Quartet and renowned summer workshop faculty--hosted in Apple Hill's Louise Shonk Kelly Barn in Nelson, New Hampshire. All concerts are free and open to the public. To reserve a seat, the suggested donation is $25 or more. The season pass is $200 (includes 1 free concert and 1/2 off all pre-concert dinners).
