Greetings!

Everyone must be gardening, mowing, spring cleaning, or just out enjoying the wonderful season of Spring in Nelson.  It's been awfully quiet around town lately.

So we'll take these few minutes to invite you to the Second Saturday Contra Dance and then to come and listen to April Verch in concert on Sunday - both taking place at the Town Hall.

And, we'll let you know about two community opportunities brought to us by the Nelson Elementary School.

May IS a most beautiful month, is it not?

Support recycling today for a better tomorrow

With the help of Planet Aid, used clothing and shoes from our community will be used to help people world-wide.  Planet Aid is active across the US and has partnerships with schools, businesses, and non-profit organizations.

Perhaps you have noticed the Planet Aid collection bin outside of the Nelson Elementary School.  Dropping your unwanted clothing items in this Planet Aid's yellow bin extends their useful life, keeps them out of our landfills, and creates sustainable development and economic opportunity world wide.

And ... your donation is tax deductible as well! You can visit Planet Aid.Org for a pricing guideline.

Thank you, Nelson School, for bringing us yet another way that our great community can help another great community.
