Greetings!
From pancakes to Pot Lucks and from board games to card games, there's enough going on in the next couple of weeks to take care of any twinges of cabin fever that may dare to creep in. When you live in this community, cabin fever doesn't stand a chance!
Here's a toast to our community spirit!

 | GaMe NiTe @ the LiBrArY!!
| by Linda Cates
Join us for GaMe NiTe @ the LiBrArY on Tuesday, February 1st at 7:00 pm.
At our previous Game Night in January we had 15 people turn out to play Scrabble, Bananagrams, and various board games and card games. A good time was had by all. We encourage you to join us at the Library next Tuesday evening.
We'll have cribbage, chess, checkers and assorted other games available. Please come and bring your favorite game if you like, or get your favorite card game going. We'll just see what games interest the people who attend, looking to challenge YOU! Let's make use of the Library as a space for Nelsonites to gather during the dark of the winter. We hope to see you there!

 | Guest Speakers Featured @ Pot Luck
| Join us on Thursday, February 3rd at the 1st Thursday Pot Luck to hear Susan Ashworth of HCSS and the Reverend Dawn Garrett-Larsen speak on the possibility of bringing the Meals on Wheels program to Nelson.
The Pot Luck Supper begins at 6:30 pm in the Henry Melville Fellowship Hall of the Nelson Congregational Church. It's always a fun gathering of friends and neighbors who bring lots of good food to share.
At this Pot Luck we will be mindful of those in our community who could benefit greatly from a program such as Meals on Wheels.
Susan and Dawn both see a need for this service and wish to discover if there is a potential volunteer base to help with such a program. As a community, we are aware of some who might qualify/need this service.
The Meals on Wheels Program is designed to provide nutritious hot meals daily to anyone in need of them delivered to their home. Tonight's program will focus on learning about the program and seeking out those interested parties who might serve as organizers and volunteers.
We hope you will join us at this very special 1st Thursday Pot Luck.
