Greetings!

It looks like winter has finally arrived, doesn't it?
Hopefully, everyone will be dug out in time to attend this evening's January Caucus to be held at 7:00 pm in the Nelson Town Hall.  We hope to see as many people as can possibly make it there to this very important caucus.
------------
Due to last week's snowstorm, the Southwestern Community Services Outreach Program canceled their plans to be at the Nelson Town Hall last Wednesday.  They have rescheduled the event for January 27th, at 1:30 pm.
------------
Remember, the Nelson Elementary School is planning a project and is seeking volunteers from our community.  The project is still in its early stages so details are not quite set in stone.  The basic premise, however, is to 'pal up' a member of the community with a student at the school and have them read the same book. The student and the community volunteer would then correspond with each other about the book.

More on this will be published later, and if you'd like more information, you can contact Martha Silk at the school.
------------
And don't forget to attend the second of the Game Night @ the Library event to be held on February 1st!  There's more on the fun night in this newsletter.  Read on!

It is a pleasure to welcome Claudia back to New Hampshire.

Schmidt takes her audiences into her world as easily as the child who discovers the endless universes that exist in a cardboard box.

Claudia Schmidt weaves her way through her concert in much the same manner as a jester. Interwoven anecdotes, revealing her past and present, bring people to expect a relationship between themselves and memories driven deep with the passage of time. The concert is an endless display of self-realization through humor and longing, leaving audience members yearning to become an integral part of her world.
