Greetings!
As of the time of this publishing, we have no idea if Southwestern Community Services will be able to make it to today's scheduled Outreach at the Nelson Town Offices.
If this was something that you wished to attend today, please call ahead. -------------- Near the end of this newsletter there is mention of a benefit contra dance for Mary DesRosiers. Although this dance will take place in Peterborough, we consider Mary a 'Nelsonite' and as such have also included a link to various other benefits. -------------- Nelson Elementary School is planning a project and is seeking volunteers from our community. The project is still in its early stages so details are not quite set in stone. The basic premise, however, is to 'pal up' a member of the community with a student at the school and have them read the same book. The student and the community volunteer would then correspond with each other about the book.
More on this will be published later, and if you'd like more information, you can contact Martha Silk at the school.
