MBOT Launches New Global Trade Discussion Forum on LinkedIn
Mississauga Board of Trade (MBOT) has created a new discussion group on LinkedIn for members that are experienced, knowledgeable or interested in global trade (exporting, importing, sourcing, partnerships, consulting etc.). In the forum you can post articles, participate in discussions, share best practices, advice and referrals, or simply learn from others. The forum is not to be used to "sell" your products or services and will be strictly enforced. This group is exclusive to MBOT members that have a shared interest in global trade.
The discussion group can be found by searching "MBOT Global Trade Forum" in LinkedIn.

Business Innovation course provides valuable insights and practical tips
The need to innovate is a high priority for Canadian companies seeking to thrive in an increasingly competitive global environment.
The Canadian Innovation Centre and the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies now offer a Business Innovation Certificate for those seeking to tap into the potential of innovation. The program is comprised of 3 courses: Foundations of Business Innovation; The Tools and Techniques of Business Innovation; and Business Innovation Applications. Foundations of Business Innovation (SCS2539) covers the core topics in business innovation.
Learn about the value innovation offers through product, process and service, and explore its place in business and organizations.
Next session starts on January 23 at the University of Toronto's Mississauga campus. Mississauga Board of Trade members who register for the course will receive a free copy of the course textbook.

Sheridan College is now in Mississauga!
Sheridan College's 1-year International Business Graduate Certificate offers University and College graduates new knowledge and skills so they can quickly contribute to international business plans and operations. Graduates will be employed in international sales, marketing, customer service, logistics and international finance as well as with consulates and embassies.
As a capstone project, student teams work with local businesses to evaluate international opportunities and develop plans to pursue this opportunity. These student teams are made up of very diverse individuals, many of whom have significant international experience.
