The HERO Awards
The HERO Awards is a community event that acknowledges the simple fact that not all heroes wear spandex or have secret identities. Often times those who make the biggest difference to our neighbourhoods are the people we share our lives with on a regular basis, be they youth, officers, educators, or business members.
The truth of the matter is that crime prevention is everyone's responsibility, and the city of Mississauga proudly gathers to honour those whose efforts are particularly notable.
Together, our collaborative approach to individual and community safety strives to mobilize families, citizens, and institutions to attack the root causes that generate crime, victimization, and other causes of insecurity.
