AARP Drivers Saftey Course

Senior Driving Course

Keep your driving skills sharp and refresh your knowledge of the rules of the road. This course is geared to drivers age 50 and older, but the course is open to people of all ages. Many insurers offer discount for completion of the course; contact your insurance company for information.


Participants must pre-register at the Community Center by calling (916) 617-4620 OR by visiting the Community Center.

A two-day AARP Driver Safety Course will be offered Wednesday, Sept. 14 and Thursday, Sept. 15; 9 a.m.-1 p.m. both days.

Course content, materials and instructor are provided by the AARP. Fees: $12 for AARP members; $14 for non-members. (AARP membership is not required to take the course.)

The course is also authorized by the California Vehicle Code.

Baby & Me Yoga Bonding 

Baby & Me YogaThis unique, easy-to-follow yoga sequence incorporates fitness, fun, and togetherness while educating you (moms, grandmas, and other caregivers) about your baby's energy and body. Build a strong bond of trust and security with your baby while integrating them into your practice and connecting with other new moms (or dads!) in a warm, supportive community!

Introduction to Dance

Dance ClassThe Introduction to Dance course is a fusion course of ballet, jazz and hip-hop. Children will learn and build on the five feet and arm positions of ballet, basic technique of jazz dance and the foundation of hip-hop dancing. This course is designed for children who want exposure to a variety of basic dance forms through an array of music. Children should wear comfortable dance clothes, such as leggings, tights, leotard, ballet slippers, dance shoes or bare feet. Children should bring a little book or journal for sticker and stamp collection after each class.

 

5 to 7 years old
