Dear Friends,
While November has been a slow month for adoptions, it's been a fabulous month for donations! We are so very thankful to all of those that donated to our Matching Fund Drive and to the two anonymous donors, the Rizzo family and the Ed Rachel Foundation for supplying those matching funds!! In all, $17850 was raised for the cats and kittens of The Cattery! It wasn't hard to come up with things we are thankful for this Thanksgiving! December is going to be a busy month at the shelter between our special adoption promotion, pictures with Santa at Petsmart and the TICA cat show! Keep an eye out so you don't miss something fun and exciting!
From all of us at The Cattery, we wish all of you a safe and happy Holiday Season!
Sincerely,
Samantha Person Shelter Director

Volunteer Spotlight
Rick Hinojosa
Rick thought he volunteered to take a few pictures at a Meow Mixer, but has since become our photographer extraordinaire! Many of the adoption pictures on our website, in this newsletter and in our calendar are pictures he has taken. Soon, a new Cattery website will roll out and his pictures have such a professional quality that we were able to use our own cats as the mascots of the webpage instead of stock photos! In addition, Rick has been known to graciously pick up a broom or window cleaner when he arrives at Fine Wine and Felines events and we need a little extra help! That's the kind of guest everyone would like at their events! Thanks Rick! We are lucky to have your photos, as good photos have been proven to increase adoptions and save more lives!
You too can be a volunteer! Please see our website for more details! |

About The Cattery
The Cattery offers an alternative to traditional animal shelters in providing a no-kill, cage-free haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats. From there, we seek permanent, loving homes for these animals. In addition, our organization promotes public awareness regarding the value of animals and their welfare, the dangers of pet overpopulation, and the benefit of quality human-animal companionship.
8201 Weber Corpus Christi, TX 78415 361-854-6369
Shelter hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm.
We also do adoptions at Petsmart Saturday and Sunday from 11am-5pm.
