It's 2011 and Spornette is celebrating 60 years in the professional beauty industry! That's 60 years of providing stylists, your grandmas, your mama, and yourself with the most necessary and trustworthy hairbrushes.  Spornette's founder Walter Sporn, a German refugee who came to America with nothing in his pocket, would be so happy today if he could see the success of his offspring. Of course, he would also flip out if he saw our expenses on delicious appetizers.

We just love catering to our customers. In fact, to celebrate our 60 years, we will be having some super special promotions and exciting new products.  Our customers will get a chance to save some money, which in return, we hope, will be passed on to their customers.  2011 is the year of Spornette.  Spornette is to hairbrushes, what Kleenex is to tissue.

Spornette Rocks Out in Vegas

We had a great showing at the Western Buying Convention last week in Las Vegas.  Alan, Laurie, Mark Ott, and I were very excited to visit with our customers who attended the show.  Our customers and our Reps all loved the new Big Wonder brush.  The Big Wonder is simply a bigger version of Spornette's top seller, the Little Wonder.  The Big Wonder is ideal for creating volume, back brushing, brushing out, and styling and teasing larger and longer hair sections.The Big Wonder is a big deal. Bigger than my belly!

The new Luxury Cushion Collection also received rave reviews at the convention. We are all very happy to welcome Bonnie Sporn to our Spornette team!  Bonnie has been working on both publicity and marketing since October.  She is very media and entertainment savvy and has already achieved great success at her new position.  President Alan Sporn is so happy that his third child has joined the company.  Now, if he only could persuade my brother in Florida to join us!  Immediately after starting, Bonnie made some phone calls, wrote some emails, and proudly discovered that the head stylist from the television show "Gossip Girl" uses Spornette on the entire cast.
