Benvenuti Amici!
Greetings!
Welcome to the first newsletter of Amici di Bologna, an informal association of U.S. based alumni and friends of the Bologna Center of the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies. Our mission is to help alumni to reconnect with their classmates and the Center.
Each year, on the first Saturday in June, Amici di Bologna organizes a reception, dinner and silent auction for the benefit of the Bologna Center. Our program starts with an Academic Panel featuring Director Ken Keller and several members of the Bologna Center faculty. Following brief presentations by our panelists, the audience is invited to ask questions and join in the discussion.
This year's event will be held on Saturday June 5th at the Desmond Tutu Center, located on the grounds of the historic General Theological Seminary in New York's Chelsea neighborhood. A limited number of tickets will go on sale soon through the Center's website.
In addition to our annual dinner and reception, Amici di Bologna seeks to support the Bologna Center through development, recruitment, career advisory and internships. If you would like to contribute to these efforts or if you have any suggestions for future events, please contact Tom Tesluk or any of our Steering Committee members using the links on the right.
If you received this email, it means you either registered for one of our events or you are a member of one of our social networking groups on Facebook or Linkedin. If you know of any classmates who would like to join our mailing list, please forward this email to them by clicking on the link and ask them to submit their email address to us.
We look forward to seeing you on June 5th. A presto!
Sincerely,
Tom Tesluk, BC '81 Chairman

Amici Auction
Do you have a vacation home in the U.S. or overseas? Would you consider donating a week or two of time in your vacation property for auction at our Amici dinner on June 5th? Last year's auction of 10 days at the Neubohn's London townhouse was a big success. We hope to have several properties to offer to our alumni this year. All proceeds will go to benefit the Bologna Center.
Click here to contact our auction coordinator Daniela Kaisth if you have any questions or if you would like to offer your vacation property for this auction. Grazie!
