Welcome!
Irving Recreation Center, conveniently located adjacent to Irving Middle School, is managed by the City of Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department. While we serve the entire Lincoln community with a variety of programs and services, our primary goal during after school time is to address the wide range of interests and needs of middle school students. Our after school program is licensed by the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and meets the high youth development standards of the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department. Irving Recreation Center is available exclusively to Irving Middle School students upon school dismissal until 5:00 p.m. Information regarding our programs can be found in our Middle School Students brochure. Stay current on middle school offerings by viewing our events calendar. Irving Recreation Center ensures a safe, supervised environment where students can be involved in positive activities and our standards for behavior are high. Young people who use the center are expected to be safe, respectful and responsible. Rule infractions and misbehavior may result in removal of privileges.

POSITIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
Irving Recreation Center is dedicated to offering young people the supports and experiences necessary to grow up happy and successful. We do this through child and youth recreation programming, by advocating for young people, and sharing valuable information with parents and others in our community. Each month's email from the rec. center will include ideas for how everyone can respond to the changes and challenges of raising our kids in positive, healthy ways. |
