CALIFORNIA CONSULTING HOSTS EDUCATION ROUNDTABLE WITH STATE SUPERINTENDENT

On Wednesday Oct. 12, 2011 California Consulting, LLC hosted a small private dinner/education roundtable featuring State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson in Fresno. The event was attended by approximately 20 special invited guests including school district leaders from Kings Canyon Unified, Dinuba Unified, Westside Elementary, Clovis Unified, Coalinga-Huron Unified, Lindsay Unified, Mayor Fast of Reedley and others. Leaders from the private sector joined the event including Waste Management, Batth Farms, and Granville Homes among others.  In addition to hearing an update on a potential 2012 education bond that Mr. Torlakson is crafting, guests also heard a Capitol Update from Assemblyman Henry T. Perea and the latest news about transportation from California Transportation Commission Commissioner Darius Assemi.  The State is very fortunate to have articulate and stellar leaders like Tom Torlakson, Henry T. Perea, and Darius Asssemi. We thank these key leaders for joining Valley Superintendents for an informative evening.
