Weeding Machine Video

Check out this video of an effective weeding machine at Downham Nurseries in Strathroy, Ontario.  Four operators cleaning 4 rows of Taxus at once!   General Manager Gus Peesker says the unit cost about $25,000 several years ago and quickly paid for itself. The machine works well for stock up to 2 feet or a little taller; they use it on Taxus, Thuja and Buxus.  The video is under two minutes but will demonstrate quite clearly how it works.

Practical growing advice was abundant at the Long Island Area Meeting held on July 7th.  Attendees posed their burning production questions to professionals at six stations.  The weather was hot but the speakers were on fire!
