1. A Warm Welcome to our NEWEST Divas...

Downsizing Diva is thrilled to welcome Shirley, Heather and Alyson to our Diva family! They began their official training at our office at Harmony Hall in East York on June 4th and they are off to a wonderful start!
There is always so much to learn and so many people to meet; we know these "kindred spirits" will soon be out working in their communities helping Seniors and their families downsize and move...with care, compassion and, sometimes comedy!
Shirley, Heather and Alyson...we know you're going to love being a Diva as much as we do!
2. Announcing the GRAND OPENING of Downsizing Diva Mississauga!
Carol Southcombe and Evelyn Thoy - our fabulous Mississauga Divas are putting the finishing touches on the Grand Opening of the Mississauga (North and South) Franchises. A fabulous day of celebration is planned for Tuesday, June 5th with Mayor Hazel McCallion and a number of other wonderful people participating in the event.
Carol and Evelyn have been working tirelessly in Mississauga helping a number of seniors downsize and move. Their energy and enthusiasm are contagious! So, here's to an incredible Grand Opening -- we'll be there with boas on!!!
3. Getting ready for another "Walk in their Shoes" presentation.
We created "Walk in their Shoes", an age-sensitivity training session to help people experience the aging process, first-hand. Our first presentation was very well received at our Professional Organizers Conference in November. As a result of this presentation, we were honoured to be invited to present at the 2012 ICD - Institute for Challenging Disorganization -- Conference being held in Chicago in September. WE are very excited!
Last month we told you about the good work being done by the EAST YORK BARBERSHOPPERS and Harmonize4Speech. On Friday, May 4th, Downsizing Diva was well-represented at their 44th Annual Charity Auction and Sale. The Divas enjoyed meeting old and new friends and supporting this wonderful event.
Lots of fun was had by all; proceeds from the Auction help support Seniors Community Programming at Harmony Hall and the ongoing work of Harmonize4Speech.
