Princeton Review: Getting In

The Princeton Review's "Getting In" seminars reveal the secrets of getting accepted to America's "finest colleges". What will get you into college and when should you prepare? How can you take control of the college search and not let it control you? How can you beat the SAT and ACT? You've got questions-- we've got answers!

 By popular demand, the PTSA is repeating the program "21st Century Learners" presented by Jasper Principal, Courtney Gober.
Comments from parents included:

21st Century Learners
Today's learner is 'plugged in.' Some reports state that the American child spends about six hours/day using electronic devices. Although today's students understand how to access and utilize digital tools, many of them are used for entertainment purposes only. Our challenge is to integrate the same devices that students love to use into our classrooms for academic purposes.
If you missed the program in August, we hope you will join us on September 27 and learn how Jasper is preparing our children with the skills that will be necessary through the next century. Sincerely,

Challenges of Parents with Special Needs
PISD Council of PTAs Presentation
 On Tuesday, September 21, Jill Kelly (wife of Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame QB, Jim Kelly) and her husband will speak at Prestonwood Baptist's PowerLunch. They know first-hand the challenges of raising and losing a special needs child.
Time: 11:45-1:00
Location: Park and Midway
Price: No charge for presentation; lunch can be purchased on site for $6.75 or food may be brought in from outside.
RSVP not necessary.

Jasper Cheer Night at Chick-fil-A
Jasper Cheer is hosting a Chick-fil-A Night on Wednesday, September 22, from 5 p.m. until close. Aportion of the total sales for teh evening is donated to jasper Cheer Boosters.  Come support the cheerleaders!

Joing the Jasper PTSA for this informative program for teens and parents. It will include discussion on current laws, insurance, and how to know when your teen is ready to drive.
November 20 - Jasper HS Night at the Dallas Stars
Join the Jasper Community as the Dallas Stars take on the Colorado Avalanche. Discounted tickets will be available! Ticket sales begin in October.
