Back to School Rally

There will be a back to school rally held at

The Apostolic Church on Tuesday, September 11th.  This is for all Middle and High School students and it will be held in the main sanctuary.  This will be a great opportunity for our students and families to bind together in prayer and have our families prayed for as we continue into the rest of the school year.

Bagel Day is Back!

Everyone is welcome to come in and purchase bagels and cream cheese and/or muffins for $1 each.  Bagel Days are held every Friday and a Bagel Card can be purchased to make things easier each week.

Fundraising

Boxes of Candy Bars are still available in the school office!  With each box that is sold there is $26 taken off of your Fundraising Commitment.

The Entertainment Book sale is over.  Any books that have not been turned in will be your responsibility to pay for.

How Sweet the Sound and Hope Line

The Apostolic Church Sanctuary Choir will compete at Joe Louis Arena on Saturday, September 15th in the How Sweet the Sound competition - the search for the best Gospel Choir in America.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.ticketmaster.com.

One part of this competition, sponsored by Verizon, is Hope Line.  Bring in your old phones and drop them off in the box in the school office.  All cell phones that are donated will go to Hope Line which provides phones to victims of domestic abuse.  The choir that brings the most will be awarded $1000.  Verizon will also donate $2500 to their local homeless shelter in the churches name.

Scholastic Book Fair

We are quickly approaching our fall Scholastic book fair! The theme will be "Reading All-Stars" and it will take place October 1-5. Mark your calendars for our Grand Lunch on Tuesday, October 2nd from 11:00-12:30. We will also have a family event in the evening that week as well to celebrate our Lady Cougars Volleyball team. We will provide more details on that as the event gets closer.

As always, we need a lot of help to make both our

book fair and our events a success, so if you would like

to volunteer to help during the day or after school,

please email Miss Kristin Naughton at  kristin.naughton@ahchristian.com. The proceeds from this book fair will be used to add technology to our elementary and high school classrooms. With the proceeds from our last book fair we were able to purchase a SMART board for our elementary and a document camera for our science lab; it was all thanks to your participation. Thank  you!

Student Council Elections

Our 7th - 12th grade students will vote for their 2012/2013 Student Council on Tuesday, September 11th.
