Auburn Hills Christian School Newsletter

We have many things to be thankful for at AHCS!  We have many returning students and some new families have joined as well.  Mrs. Fullmer is recovering from surgery and is feeling great overall!  She said she definitely appreciates and feels all of the prayers sent her way.  We also would like to congratulate our 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Kimberly Goodman, and her husband Jeffrey.  They will have a new addition to their family in April.  We can't wait to welcome their baby to the AHCS family!

Back to School Rally

There will be a back to school rally held at

The Apostolic Church on Tuesday, September 11th.  This is for all Middle and High School students and it will be held in the main sanctuary.  This will be a great opportunity for our students and families to bind together in prayer and have our families prayed for as we continue into the rest of the school year.

Bagel Day is Back!

This Friday, September 7th our PTO will once again begin sponsoring Bagel Day.  Everyone is welcome to come in and purchase bagels and cream cheese and/or muffins for $1 each.  Bagel Days are held every Friday and a Bagel Card can be purchased to make things easier each week.

Busses

Busses will begin running on

Tuesday, September 4th.

Edline

Please contact Amy Wickson at amy.wickson@ahchristian.com if you need to sign up for an edline account.  Edline allows you access to grades and assignments.

Fundraising

Boxes of Candy Bars are finally available in the school office!  With each box that is sold there is $26 taken off of your Fundraising Commitment.

Entertainment Books will be sold through Friday, September 7th.  You can use the books to take orders for more.  If you do not wish to purchase them, please just send them back to school.  You will be billed for them if they are not returned by this Friday.  Half of the profits from this sale will be taken off of your Fundraising Commitment and half will go to our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

Scholastic Book Fair

We are quickly approaching our fall Scholastic book fair! The theme will be "Reading All-Stars" and it will take place October 1-5. Mark your calendars for our Grand Lunch on Tuesday, October 2nd from 11:00-12:30. We will also have a family event in the evening that week as well to celebrate our Lady Cougars Volleyball team. We will provide more details on that as the event gets closer.

As always, we need a lot of help to make both our

book fair and our events a success, so if you would like

to volunteer to help during the day or after school,

please email Miss Kristin Naughton at  kristin.naughton@ahchristian.com. The proceeds from this book fair will be used to add technology to our elementary and high school classrooms. With the proceeds from our last book fair we were able to purchase a SMART board for our elementary and a document camera for our science lab; it was all thanks to your participation. Thank  you!
