Chamber Says Goodbye and Welcomes New Leadership

The Chamber has been fortunate to be governed by a talented and dedicated Board of Directors.  Board Members may serve two consecutive three year terms. In January the Chamber said goodbye to Amy Christopher, Ann Dunlavy, Robert Lloyd, John Cook, Helen Pyzowski and Jim Foster. These dedicated former Directors continue to serve on various Chamber committees, and for that we are grateful.

As sad as it is to say goodbye to dedicated Board Members, it is exciting to welcome the following to the Chamber's Board of Directors - Kathy Armillei, Cliff Beaver, Larry Burger, Dan Guyer, Steve Huston, Diana McClure and Joel Pheasant. To see a complete list of the Chamber's Board of Directors click here

Larry Newton's term on the Board of Directors also expired, but due to a recent By-Laws change he will remain on the Board. The By-Laws change calls for the President of the Huntingdon County Foundation to serve as an ex-officio member of the Chamber's Board of Directors.

The Chamber's 2012 Officers are - Joe Peluso, President; Lauren Wilson, Vice President; Dee Dee Brown Treasurer; and Janet Chambers Secretary.

Chamber Thanks Beverly Green

2011 President, Beverly Green, has been involved with the Chamber in various capacities for several years.  Bev served her first term as president a few years ago and then went on to become the first female president of the Blair County Chamber of Commerce.

Bev has been there to mentor and assist staff for several years. She has shared fresh and exciting ideas. The Chamber staff and Board of Directors appreciates all Bev has done to serve our community.

Chamber Partners With State College Magazine to Offer Discounted Advertising to Members

The Chamber has partnered with State College Magazine to offer an incredible reduced rate on 1/12 full color ad space to highlight all the unique and individual opportunities that Huntingdon County has to offer.

The page is outlined with 12 (1/12) size individual ads, giving the Huntingdon County Chamber the 1/3 center square to promote upcoming events. If more businesses decide to participate, the one page can be turned into 2 pages to offer Chamber member advertisers the center spread of the magazine, at no extra charge (more options & offers available with the center spread to come).

Ad spaces are available to business members at the hugely discounted rate of $100 each. Advertisers must commit to all 6 issues. Each advertiser will be billed directly by State College Magazine. The normal 12x rate on a 1/12 is normally $216 and the 8x rate is $250. As a benefit to our members we wanted to make this offer as budget friendly as possible. State College Magazine will create the ad at no additional charge.

To take advantage of this offer, contact Missy Etters at 814-278-1313.
