This generosity is something we can all be reminded of this time of year as we remember the gift God gave us two thousand years ago because he loved us, his son. So this year when someone gives you a gift, appreciate it and cherish the sentiment behind it because that person loves you.
As Americans, we are truly blessed and will continue to be blessed by this country that was built on a "Sure Foundation." We share this foundation and our love with our neighboring countries by always caring and serving others. We also must remember that as we spend billions of dollars every December shopping and giving gifts, we are actually supporting this foundation that is the pride of our country. It is what fuels the economy by providing jobs to the United States and, in turn, the rest of the world.
My prayer for everyone, including myself, as we count down the days toward the New Year is that we do not lose our "Joy." Even in this time of year that is a celebration of love, we are continually faced with obstacles fueled by hate and negative energy. This is why this season is truly what we make of it and the effort we put in to obtaining and spreading the "Joy."
I am so incredibly thankful for all the support from friends, family, and staff with my mission work in Bangladesh this year. Not only did it touch our hearts, but also the lives of the young adults that we are working so hard to help. Our success would not have been possible without your prayers and support. So, because I cannot say it enough, THANK YOU! I will continue to pray for the safety of my loved ones and yours this holiday season and may you all be blessed in the New Year 2012.
God Bless You,
Sandra Ishmael
