Greetings!

Happy October to everyone. Are you looking forward to hot apple cider and pumpkin pie? Fall is such a delightful time for the senses, full of vibrant colors, crunchy leaves, savory smells and tastes, and fuzzy sweaters. Come on in to Allure and give your senses even more of a treat with one of our autumnal body treatments or a deep, rich color for your hair. We look forward to seeing you in October!

While you're at Allure, be sure to ask the staff about their incredible experiences in Bangladesh. Sandra, Molly and Keleigh opened the Friends of the World Vocational Training School in Khulna, Bangladesh, two weeks ago. Julianne and Kathleen will also be heading over this month. All the preparation and hard work are obviously worth it when you see the excitement on the students' faces and how quickly they learn the skills they need for a self-supporting career. Come see the pictures at Allure! There have been challenges: a battery-operated car with open sides during a monsoon, power outages, and even leeches! But God is so obviously blessing this work, building relationships between our volunteers and the orphans, and providing life-changing experiences for all.

I am so grateful to be able to share all of this with you. Allure Spa clients have been amazingly generous and supportive. Thank you for being part of my charitable work as well as being part of my business!

God Bless,
Sandra

Make-at-Home Cranberry Enzyme Mask

This refreshing mask is designed to exfoliate, soften and hydrate the skin. Cranberries have such a high vitamin C content that they were traditionally used by sea captains to prevent scurvy. The active fruit enzymes will help exfoliate dull, devitalized skin. When dead skin cells build up on the surface of the skin they not only accentuate fine lines and wrinkles but also block the pores. Sebum, blocked by accumulated skin cells, then develops into blackheads or acne. This mask will help remove these dead skin cells and give the face a soft polish.

1/2 cup chopped cranberries

1/2 cup seedless grapes

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/2 pack of gelatin

Mix all the ingredients together in a blender on medium speed for twenty seconds. Place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to help set gelatin. When mixture is slightly firm, apply to face and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

Rinse off with warm water.
