Greetings!

September is usually a time of change and new beginnings. Many of us have sent our children off to college, or maybe this year it's first grade for your little one. These changes usually come with mixed emotions of pride, sadness, nostalgia and excitement for what the future holds. I hope you are taking good care of yourself as you head into this new season.

As you know, five of us at Allure Spa are creating a new beginning with a new vocational training school in Bangladesh this September and October. I can't believe that the first group, including myself, leaves in just a little over two weeks! On September 16, Molly, Keleigh and I begin our trip. Please continue to pray for us as we bring the cosmetology trade to twenty amazing young women at Home of Joy Orphanage.

We are so grateful for all the support we have received for Friends of the World! Many of you came out for the Cutathon we had in August and we raised over $1,600 in three hours! Thank you!

We have another special fundraising opportunity to share with you. Sandra is planning a graduation trip to the capital city of Dhaka for the twenty young women who take the course. This will mean a six- to eight-hour bus ride from Khulna and an overnight stay in Dhaka, but it will be worth it! The girls will have the chance to see the best salons and spas in the country, which will give them an idea of how successful they can be. They will also have a graduation ceremony and dinner (hopefully at the Westin Hotel!).
