Spring greetings from the Children's Law Center!
Things are looking up at CLC ...
Caseloads are up! Demand is up! Efficiency is up!
And although funding is down, we aren't letting financial pressure stop us from doing the right thing and making sure our young clients are protected. Instead, we work harder, and do more with less.
Our programs help families break free from the cycle of conflict that has kept them embattled for far too long. We offer them alternatives to a court fight. In our cases ...
- 100% are identified as high-conflict
- 100% include significant risk posed to children
- 66% have past or ongoing DCF services
- 85% of our cases end in agreement, avoiding multi-day trials
- 99% of our recommendations are incorporated into court orders
- 87 % do not reopen once closed in our office
Please help us continue to serve Connecticut's neediest kids by making a tax-deductible donation today! Click here to make a secure online donation.

Volunteer Spotlight ... Joyce DePastino.
Joyce became a friend of CLC when one of our supporters suggested she had exceptional admin skills and might be able to help us out. When we met Joyce we learned she has a deep connection to our mission and cares about children and families, more than we could have imagined. In the past couple of years Joyce has spent countless hours dedicating her time, energy and talents to our events and mailings. In 2011, Joyce became a major donor through the United Way State Employees Campaign. Thank you, Joyce. We could not do it without you! |
