The First Few Weeks . . .

Dear Friends, Family and FarmPlate Supporters,

I hope you've all had an opportunity to check out the FarmPlate website! We're very excited about what the months ahead will bring. Our fan base is steadily growing, and we've been flooded with positive comments and some press too. Thanks so much for your enthusiasm and interest!

Today we launched a new weekly blog: Real Food. This week's post is by Sean Buchanan, chef at Solstice at the Stowe Mountain Lodge. Sean has been successful in sourcing locally and sustainably at the institutional level, without compromising his bottom line. In today's blog, he helps us navigate the somewhat murky waters of sustainable seafood--helping to define what it is and where to find it.

Tomorrow we'll tell you about some delectable happenings around Vermont, and on Friday we'll introduce you to the state's only cranberry producer, the Vermont Cranberry Company. Stock up for the holidays with these local cranberries, and with Champlain Orchards' cranberry cider and Boyden Valley Winery's cranberry wine, both of which are produced using "Cranberry Bob's" harvest.

Check back often--there's lots more to come!
