It's Vegetable Planting Weekend!

Finally it seems the weather has turned around and it feels like garden time! Traditionally the first week in June is the ideal vegetable planting time. We sometimes are overly anxious to get started with the more tender crop starts here in the northwest, yet there is really no reason to begin before this week unless you have a small greenhouse, cold frame or vegetable bin to protect your plants.  Remember we still have 3 to 4 months of growing time ahead of us!

With the night time temperatures staying above 50 degrees, we feel basil starts can go out also.  Our tomatoes are looking great too, with well over 150 varieties still in stock. They are turning into beautiful large gallon size plants, perfect for an early crop.

Peppers are available in over 25 varieties from sweet bells to hot Thai and even limited quantities of what many believe to be the hottest pepper in the world, the Bhut Jolokia.

We have an abundant variety of basils in stock to choose from.  Herbs, lettuces, corn, okra, cucumbers, squash and much more, most of which are grown in our own greenhouses! So come on in this weekend for your vegetables and remember flowers too.  Be sure to zoom to the bottom of the newsletter for our discount coupon, limited to our newsletter readers only!
