Vegetables, Tomatoes and More
You may wonder if spring will ever arrive this year. The answer is yes! But lets not rush it by planting those crops that need warmer soil, warmer air temperatures and sun. Its still too early for the likes of tomatoes, peppers, basil and even beans. We are all anxious to get them in the ground, but unless you have a protected place to hold them, don't do it yet! Let them continue to grow roots and establish their top growth in a snug greenhouse or cold frame. For tomatoes hold out for at least another 10 days. For peppers, beans and basil wait until near the end of May or later.
For those anxiously awaiting our fabulous tomoatoes, we will have over 165 varieties ready in gallon size containers about Mothers Day .
