Our Christmas Trees Have Arrived!
| | Noble fir | We are proud to bring to you some of the finest and freshest trees available in the Northwest. From the family owned farm in Cinnebar, WA our Bear Canyon Trees are spectacular! Meticulously cared for, our Noble, Fraser and Grand Fir are as good as they get and with proper care will maintain beautifully during the entire season. Growing great trees is no accident. Since 1949 and through 3 generations, Bear Canyon has been perfecting the art through natural selections, grafting and plain old great growing. Our trees were cut just days ago, cleaned of any loose needles and then quickly shipped to us.
How We Prepare Your Trees:
Once trees arrive at the nursery we sort according to variety and size. We

Next we lightly spray the tree down, removing any unwanted debris that may be lingering, and then constantly monitor the tree until sold. Trees that are stored in water can last up to twice as long as those that are not. We suggest only buying trees that are displayed in water!
Caring For Your Tree At Home:
First make a fresh base cut to eliminate the "seal" on the butt of the tree. We can do this for you if you like. This should be done no

more than 5-6 hours before placing the tree in a water stand. Cut enough off so that the fresh cut looks creamy-white. Remember the outer 1/3 of the trunk carries 80% of the water up the trunk. For best results do not disturb the outer base any more than necessary! The tree stand should hold at least a gallon of water, because a tree can drink between 2 pints and a gallon of water each day. We have a great tree "funnel" for sale that will make the job of watering simple! Be sure to place the tree away from any heat source and use small low heat lights. Not putting the tree up quite yet? Store it outside in a cool shady area, resting in a pale of water.
