Many Gardiner Angus Ranch customers share our common philosophy regarding beef production. Those customers are professional cow-calf producers allied, not only with the GAR philosophy, but committed to the discipline required to produce seedstock with added value throughout the food chain. As the beef industry makes scientific progress through the development of molecular breeding values and marker assisted EPDs, Gardiner Angus Ranch and its Allied Producers will aggressively use the data to develop new and better programs, offer more services and continue producing superior Angus genetics. USPB Premiums to GAR Customers Top $3.3 Million
Since 1998, Gardiner Angus Ranch has offered USPB delivery rights to their customers. USPB's 2010 fiscal year summary reports all cattle using GAR delivery rights averaged premiums of $86.59 per head. Overall, the 4,000 head posted remarkable quality statistics. Eleven percent graded USDA Prime, 93% Choice, while 25.4% met quality specifications for Certified Angus Beef. More than 87% were yield grades 2 and 3.
After sorting the GAR home-raised steers, the data is even more impressive. Twenty-three percent graded Prime, 95.3% Choice, while 31% met CAB specifications.
Close-out reports were analyzed earlier in the year on GAR home-raised steers and the results can be found on our website. All of the home-raised steers were mates to the 466 bulls selling in the upcoming Fall Bull Sale.
Those customers investing in GAR genetics and using USPB delivery rights took home additional premiums ranging from $50-$125 per head. That's profit-choice not chance!

Gardiner Angus Ranch Hosts CAB Chefs Tour
Gardiner Angus Ranch dusted off the welcome wagon to host a Certified Angus Beef chef's tour. Ten executive chefs from Ritz-Carlton properties across the U.S., in Canada, and Grand Cayman spent the day learning about beef cattle production. Before ending the day at the ranch, the chefs visited a feedlot and packing plant. The CAB staff, executive chefs and our entire family enjoyed a chuck wagon dinner at the end of a great summer day.
