PHOTOGRAPHY AND DIGITAL DOCUMENTARY
BY STEPHANIE C. ROBERTS

Greetings!
stephanieroberts
Since the birth of LittlePurpleCow Productions so many wonderful things have happened, and I'm excited to share this update with you.

Thanks to your votes and support for our Name Your Dream Assignment contest entry, Picture Hope, my fellow Shutter Sister Jen Lemen and I captured first place in the online voting portion of the contest (sponsored by Lenovo and Microsoft) from among 2500 entries. If the judges' panel selects Picture Hope, Jen and I will visit five continents to document stories of hope in unlikely places. Stay tuned for the results!

Project 365: Daily Discoveries, my first solo photography exhibit will be on display at the Monroe Art Guild in Georgia from May through June. Let me know if you plan a visit to the gallery; I'd love to join you.

Warm regards,
Stephanie Roberts

Creative Inspiration: New York Times' "One in 8 Million"

Few locations in the world offer a texture rich with fascinating, diverse individuals than New York City. The New York Times' multimedia section offers a high quality, thoughtful approach to storytelling using still images and audio commentary. "One in 8 Million" features compelling images and stories of New Yorkers. In fact, this series inspired me to create my Southern Creatives digital documentary series. Explore One in 8 Million.
