Surgeries/Procedures/Appointments

Morava Family:
We would like to say Thank you so very much to our church family!  God is always good and we are positive his timing is perfect, even though we don't always understand it.  We are still in need of much prayer.  The defendant's lawyer called the DA late yesterday and offered to plead guilty, but does not want to do any jail time or be a registered sex offender.  This is not something we are prepared to agree to.  We are asking that God will grant wisdom to us as well as the DA's office. Please pray continued protection for our family as the trial date moves closer.  Blessings, Tim,Veronica and Kasey
Today: Please pray for a meeting the Moravas have with the DA Monday morning at 11:00.  Pray wisdom for all involved.

Maria Wilson:  Maria is having surgery Tuesday morning, March 17,  at 11:00.  She has to be there at 10 am:  They are repairing my fascia tendon.  I will have to be in a boot for 3-6 weeks once they see how much damage there is.  It shouldn't be a big deal.  The surgery will be at foundations surgery center on Portland. Keenan is taking me. It will be a new level of responsibility for him so please say a prayer for him. Thanks

Susan Swart:  Susan is scheduled for a hysterectomy on Monday, March 23, at 7:30 a.m. at Lakeside Women's Hospital.

Updates and Current Requests:

Bruce Brown:  Please pray for Bruce as he recovers from foot surgery.  Pray for his foot to heal properly and for the pain to ease.

From Maria Wilson:  15Mar: I talked to my sister Eloise yesterday.  The pain has subsided enough that she can clean her house and take care of her family which is very important to her. She is still waiting for approval of the surgery. Also, she is not a Christian, but is reading it and asking many questions, so I need wisdom when we talk! Thanks for praying. Maria

Briana Avila:
13Mar: She and 30 other kids and adults left this morning for New York. They are on a chartered bus and will arrive sometime tomorrow morning. They will be touring throughout New York through next Friday the 19th and then back on the road and home sometime the 20th. They are going to be ministering through music at several churches in the Bronx and Midtown areas, including a concert at Bronx High School.  Jennifer Bozarth

From Jennifer BozarthUpdate 11Mar: Finally talked to Brandi today. It was great to hear from her. Phillip had to have his sinus cavity packed because spinal fluid was leaking out of his nose and mouth. He broke his neck in 2 places so he also had to have surgery there and a cadaver bone was inplanted with screws and a plate. He should be moved from ICU today. He is walking and his pain level is better, set to come home in 3 days if all goes well. Brandi said they were "very lucky to be alive." I appreciate all the prayers for them, thank you all.
Please pray for Brandi and Phillip. They are client of mine from Yukon. They were in a terrible car accident Saturday. Both were hospitalized. Brandi was released today but Phillip is still in ICU. He has bleeding on the brain and neck broke in three places. No permanent paralysis doctor says but he will require surgeries and rehab. They are a young family with little kids just purchasing their first home. Please keep them in prayer. Thank you.

From ilene Martzen:
Update 17FebMy brother, Ernie is doing a bit better but are still unresolved issues. He did go back to work which is good.  Would appreciate continued prayers for a bit longer.   ilene
My brother, Ernie, is suffering from severe depression.  Yes, he has accepted Jesus as his Savior.  He confided to a family member that he is planning to commit suicide.  I ask that you pray Psalm 23, agree that he will be able to receive the mind of Jesus, and the peace and comfort of the Holy Ghost.  ilene Martzen

From Pam Albright:  Update 11Mar:  Darci Update: Darci is coming home from Dallas today.  Please continue to pray as she continues her recovery at home.
Mary Update: I  just heard from Mary B and the PET scan results showed no change in the cancer.  She was having another test today, cat scan I think, and waiting on radiology to see about the radiation treatment.  She also has the double chemo today that takes three hours.  She sounded okay but you could hear the disappointment in her voice.  Please keep her in your prayers.
I have 2 co-workers that are getting ready to start treatment for cancer.  Darci Beaver is 34 years old and is divorced with two sons ages 6 & 8.  This is her second time through this, but she is going to have to go to Dallas for a least a month to have a stem cell transplant.  She could possibly be off work for 3 - 6 months.  She started chemo a few weeks ago and has tried to continue to work, but you can see it is very hard on her.  Her ex-mother-in-law use to keep the boys, but she is suffering from some health issues, so the boys have had to return to daycare.  Besides being hard on her body, this is going to be very hard on her financially.
Mary Bovino is older and a leukemia surviver.  She found out the day after Christmas that she has lung cancer.  She goes to the doctor today to find out when her treatments will begin.  Some of the doctors did not give her long to live and others think it is treatable.  She does not think she is going to die.  She says she feels too good and doesn't think God is finished with her here.  However, if it does worsen she says she is ready to go, because she has lost 3 of her 4 children and is ready to join them.  We are hoping that Mary will be able to continue to work, because she does not have any disability and after missing so much work, she would lose her health care benefits.
Please pray for both of these ladies.  They both said they could not go through this without God and the power of prayer.  Thank you, Pam Albright

Brenda Sykes04Mar:  Everything went well with Brenda's tests and surgery this morning. The cancer is in very early stage and doctor says it is treatable, also all vital organs surrounding the infected area checked out clear. Praise the Lord! Battling cancer
Dawna Johnson:
08Jan: Christy reports that Donna is doing well for the circumstances she is in.  She's doing a treatment everyday, alternating between chemotherapy and radiation, so the treatment is very aggressive.  They do a CAT scan periodically to check the tumors for increase or decrease in size.  It's a "wait and see" sort of thing.  Please continue to pray. 05Oct: Jay's step-mother has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.  She is undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy.  She is a Christian and her spirits remain good.  They asked for prayer for strength because she is continuing to work through the treatments.
