Greetings!
So, I baked a chocolate cake last night at 9pm. Andy's away and it's just me at home. What came over me? A SUGAR CRAVING!!! Yes, yes. Even a nutritionist/health coach can crave (and eat!) chocolate cake. In all of its gooey, chocolatey goodness. Even gluten/dairy/egg-free, it's giving other chocolate cakes a run for their money. It's been months since I've craved cake-y things. Was it a coincidence that Andy was away? No. I got a bit lonely and wanted some gooey chocolate cake to add some sweetness to my evening.
I'm writing Helloooo Sugar! for this month's feature article as I indulge in a post-dinner square of my cake. I hope the article doesn't make you crave sugar, but you'll have to let me know.
Sugar cravings for me are so rare anymore - about twice a month, if that - that I tend to just go ahead and have some when they come around, knowing full well how it's affecting my body, in both naughty and nice ways. How about you? Are you and sugar best buddies or long-lost cousins? If you admit to having a love affair with sugar (including cereal, pasta, bagels, not just cookies or cake), I also invite you join me on my upcoming webinar - Sugar Blues! See the Upcoming Events section below for details and to sign up.
Talking about all that sugar, I bet you thought I'd share a dessert recipe with you, right? Well, kind of... I have a super easy, versatile snack / breakfast / dessert idea that will actually help curb your sugar cravings: the Amazing Avocado Honey Cup. I hope you enjoy your Byte. If you change your mind, you may unsubscribe at any time by scrolling to the very bottom of this page and clicking on the unsubscribe link. Until next time, be deliciously healthy!
