Cache Advance Crew Spotlight: Lynn, aka Love2Ski

As the Donation Director for Cache Advance for the last two years my job is to process donation requests for events planned by geocaching organizations throughout the caching world.

I started geocaching in June of 2006 with my husband MtnGoat50. Our love of this activity is unsurpassed.  We are outdoor people and love the experience of being brought to places we would never imagine going to if it weren't for geocaching.

I enjoy supporting Cache Advances' commitment to provide geocachers with unique and useful items needed for just about everything related to geocaching. Not to mention a passion for promoting the

enhancement of the caching experience.

News, Tips and More from Cache Advance

Greetings!

Well it's happened again, it is a new year! For our first newsletter of 2011, we've got a great story on how to keep your fitness plans with geocaching (see below), some great new products in our store (see below), how to become our Fan of the Week on our Facebook Page (see below), Crew Spotlight of the month: Lynn, and how to apply to our Donation Program (see left).

Have a great 2011 everyone, and Happy Caching!

Geocaching = Fitness!

Did you make a New Year's resolution for better health and fitness this year? Even if you didn't make a resolution, we'd like to challenge you to get out geocaching more! Geocaching is a great way to mix up your day and get outside. Not every cache run has to be a trek out to the woods. Chances are you pass fun and quick Urban caches every day on your way to and from work, school or running errands.

Whether the new year inspired you to be more active, healthier, or you just want to break up your daily routine, caching can help you meet your goals in a new way.

If you're looking for a way to get outside more or increase your activity level consider plotting a short caching route during your daily activities or before or after work / school. Park further away than you usually do or walk the whole way. Be sure to set the Trip Odometer on your GPS at the beginning of your jaunt and see how much extra distance you rack up just grabbing a few caches -you might be surprised...

Read the rest of the story and share yours on our blog...!
