Winter caching can be challenging in some parts of the world! We hope that you are able to 'Cache On' this winter and enjoy geocaching with your family and friends.

Speaking of caching on, more people are enjoying outdoor recreation, but not as many youth: According to the Outdoor Industry Association, overall participation in outdoor recreation is increasing, but the connection to nature among youth is declining. While the increase in participation comes as good news, the report also reveals over an 11% decline in participation in outdoor activities among youth age 6 to 17, with the sharpest declines among youth age 6 to 12.

Thankfully, the sport/game of geocaching is growing. All players need is a GPS, internet access and a sense of adventure. So be sure to include some youth in your geocaching adventures!
