The Township has received approval from Penndot to add ten parking spots at the Pennfield Septa station for the Route 100 line. The spots, along Manoa Road, are what I hope will be just the first step in addressing the concerns of commuters and residents who use or live near these transit stops. The Township is in the process of making the improvements necessary to add the spots, and to prepare the intersection for pedestrian use. Click here to view a schematic of the new parking spots. The Township hopes that the construction will be completed by the end of July.

As you know, for many months I have been requesting that the Board of Commissioners work together to create a comprehensive solution that will balance the need for commuter parking with the concerns of nearby residents. While some on the Board have resisted those efforts, I hope that this small step will open the door to a more inclusive discussion and resolution.
