Power & Phone Outages Continue
I have received numerous calls and emails, and am trying to respond to each as quickly as possible. I will also continue to monitor the situation until electrical and phone service is restored to all residents.
Update
The Township continues to address the problems resulting from Hurricane Irene, including numerous power outages and telephone service outages. Although the Township continues to push for a quick response from Peco, the power company has not responded in kind. As of 4:16 p.m., Peco reports that there are 1,144 customers without power in the Township, although based upon the number of complaints I have received, that number seems remarkably low.
In addition, with regard to the outage in Marilyn Park, the Peco website reports that "As of 07:40 PM on 08/29/2011 we are working to restore your service as quickly and safely as possible. Currently we are working to identify the cause of the outage. We expect to have service restored by 02:00 AM on 08/30/2011."
I remain very dissatisfied with Peco's apparent indifference. This is by far the longest outage I have experienced in my 25+ years living in the Township. Rest assured that once the situation is resolved I will continue to press the issue with Peco.
