Constituent Meeting Scheduled for October 27th
My semi-annual Constituent Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Quatrani Building located behind the Township Building at 2325 Darby Road in Havertown. As in the past, this is your opportunity to ask questions, voice your concerns, and to speak directly with Township officials. |
Freedom Playground Opens Sunday, October 24
Freedom Playground, a custom-built playground at the Haverford Reserve (on Darby Road) designed to serve all residents, including those with special needs, will officially open on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. The organizers have raised over $370,000 to build the playground, and have worked with more than 2,000 volunteers. Come out and celebrate the opening of Freedom Playground. There will be live entertainment, along with festivities and cake.

The Township has released the fall curbside leaf collection schedule. As in the past, you will not have to bag your leaves. Click here to view the 2010 fall leaf collections schedule.
In addition, the final yard waste pickups will occur on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 and Wednesday, October 27, 2010.

Marketing Your Business on the Internet
The Haverford Partnership for Economic Development (HPED) will sponsor a program, "Marketing Your Business on the Internet" on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Haverford Township Free Library on Darby Road in Havertown.
The program will feature web designer/marketer, Scott Reynolds, and Commissioner Dan Siegel, who operates Integrated Technology Services, LLC, a technology and marketing consulting firm for attorneys and small- and mid-size businesses.

HPED is a new non-profit organization in Haverford Township dedicated to revitalizing our business districts. I have been appointed as the Board of Commissioners' representative on the HPED Board.
HPED has also scheduled a workshop, "The Art of Effective Window Displays," which will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Haverford Township Free Library. Please contact HPED for more information.
