Trash & Recycling Schedules Available;
Yard Waste & Xmas Tree Pickups Added
The Township has released the 2010 Trash, Recycling & Yard Waste calendars. The calendars were mailed to all residents; in addition, the calendar may be downloaded in a variety of formats (including a single-page color-coded version and a Microsoft Outlook compatible version) at http://www.4haverford.com/recycling.html. As outlined in my previous newsletter, the Township has added yard waste pickups to the calendar.
The following is a summary of the 2010 schedule for the 4th Ward:
*Trash will continue to be collected on Mondays and Thursdays
*Recycling will be collected on Thursdays (and on Wednesdays during weeks with a Thursday holiday)
*Yard Waste (such as leaves, branches, and other clippings) will be collected on most Wednesdays from March through September
*Christmas trees will be collected on Wednesday, January 6, 13 and 27, 2010
Containers must be placed at curbside no later than 6:30 a.m. on collection days; pursuant to the Township Code, containers may not be placed at curbside earlier than dusk the night before. |
