Do Wrangle Cards
This from Kate at Meetings A la Carte: as holiday cards come in, check the return addresses against your address book. (And, if you like, note that they sent a card this year. No room? Make a spreadsheet). After Jan 1, store the cards with your giftwrap & cut images from them to use as next year's gift tags; recycle the rest. |

Don't Wrap
Okay okay, do wrap gifts, but don't buy new paper, bows, bells, & whistles. Use what you have: fabric, brown bag paper, pipe cleaners, newspaper, & gift bags -- the super-easy, reusable alternative to wrapping paper. Let your creativity run wild & it'll be the least expensive, most fun & clutter-busting wrap session ever. |

Give Holiday Trimmings New Life
After taking down the tinsel (& storing & labeling for next year), it's easy to recycle what you can't reuse. Many towns mulch Christmas trees, & have programs for broken string lights. Giftwrap, excluding foil & tissue, can by recycled with normal paper. And if, like me, you haven't wrapped yet: use less! |
