Tips and Tricks to Make Life Easier

It's easier to be lazy when you're organized.

Here are 4 quick monthly tips from me, Molly Boren
of Simplicity Works Home + Office Organizing Services.
I hope they make your life a little easier.

Remember: if it takes 2 minutes or less, do it now.
That is, read this now and then file or delete it.
How ironic if it were to become e-clutter!
DO

Do Update Easily
It can be a pain when you get a new credit card number or expiration date! Make it easier by listing vendors you're set up to auto-pay before the time comes, so you can update them quickly. Store it in your address book: create an entry for your card (no account numbers or passwords!) with the customer service number, vendor list, and other tips.
DON'T

Don't Run Errands

Don't run errands that don't deserve the time they take. Ever trek downtown to use a coupon that's about to expire, even if you don't need the item? Ever drop by the grocery store because you're nearby, even if the cupboard's far from bare? Before investing time, make sure it's worth it! Could be false productivity.

GET

Get Rolling
I've had this fold-up rolling cart  for ages now and it's a client favorite. Super light-weight and only $21, I can easily stow it in the car or closet and make it magically appear when I have a bunch of stuff to carry. Toss in a bungee (corralled in a zip-top bag) and big loads won't topple out.
GIVE

Give Inspiration that Works

Inspiration Corporation's varied programs fight homelessness by providing "meals, supportive services, housing, employment preparation and vocational training, and free voice mail, serving as a catalyst for self-reliance." They serve an amazing 3,000 Chicagoans a year. Help them with your talents  or a donation !

Simplicity Works Home + Office Organizing Services helps busy people streamline with tips, tools, and hands-on projects that make everyday routines and spaces more efficient and less cluttered. Time, money, and energy are then free for the things that matter most.
