Do Clue
My friend Natacha turned me on to this great online database: cluedb.com. It gathers all sorts of "tips and tricks to make life better." Just be sure to limit your time browsing the site; it could easily steal your whole afternoon. My current favorite: pull a Post-it off its deck from the side, rather from the bottom, and it will stick longer. |

Don't Squeeze
Next time you think, "I can fit in this one last task before I go," just don't. Recognize it as an example of false efficiency. Cramming the task in when you don't truly have time is likely to cause you to: do it badly, be late for your next appointment, and suffer stress for both. Leave the task undone for now and enjoy the being on time. |

Get Hooked It's the strangest thing, but sometimes you just need a hook in the middle of your closet's clothes rod. Who wants to fiddle with a hanger when hanging a robe, for instance? Or maybe there's extra space on that rod for some tote bags, which also cry out for a hook. These handy curlicues do just trick, simply and inexpensively ($2!). |

Give Animals Health
The Trio Animal Foundation "assists shelters, rescues, and individuals by paying the medical bills of homeless pets. TAF also promotes adoption and responsible pet ownership." Their May 21 gala is sold out, but you can buy raffle tickets for amazing prizes, bid on the silent auction, or give a tax-deductible doantion right now! |
