Tips and Tricks to Make Life Easier

It's easier to be lazy when you're organized.

Here are 4 quick monthly tips from me, Molly Boren
of Simplicity Works Home + Office Organizing Services.
I hope they make your life a little easier.

Remember: if it takes 2 minutes or less, do it now.
That is, read this now and then file or delete it.
How ironic if it were to become e-clutter!
DO

Do Stash Cash
A tried & true trick: stash a $20 in your glove compartment (with your registration, perhaps?) & wallet (maybe with credit cards?). I've used mine in a pinch; there are still cash-only places! Imprint the memory so you'll have it when you need it by saying out loud, "I'm putting emergency money in the glove box." Replace it if you use it.
DON'T

Don't Cling
Received an upgrade of something as a gift this year? Don't hang on to the item it replaced. Get a gift you know you'll never use? Give that away too. Can't stand to go that far? That's okay, but face facts & pack it away with memorabilia instead of storing it with everyday items. Stay lean, & you'll appreciate each thing more.

GET

Get Stamped
With an eco-friendly Green Line self-inking return address stamp, sending those occasional letters & checks is a pleasure. (Using the labels charities send? Finish your stock, but first ask the charities to save resources by stopping!) Customize the stamps with your address, ink color, & font. Makes a perfect housewarming gift.
GIVE

Give Healthy Cooking Skills

Common Threads teaches low-income kids to cook wholesome & affordable meals with hands-on classes. A direct & powerful mission! They promote self-reliance, "help prevent childhood obesity, & reverse the trend of generations of non-cookers." Help out with donations of basic cooking equipment, teaching supplies, or money.

Simplicity Works Home + Office Organizing Services helps busy people streamline with tips, tools, and hands-on projects that make everyday routines and spaces more efficient and less cluttered. Time, money, and energy are then free for the things that matter most.
