Do Decide
At the risk of putting myself out of business, the secret to staying organized is: decide where things go, & put them there. For many reasons this is often easier said than done, but if items have a spacious home to go to, you're golden. Decide & consolidate: a receipt bin, a hamper, a non-crammed file cabinet or closet rod. |

Don't Overbook
Trips can be great, but no matter how well-organized they take time to prepare for & "recover" from. When possible (& it might be more possible than you think), avoid scheduling discretionary appointments for your first 2 days back. Reserve them in your calendar as soon as you make travel plans. You'll thank yourself. |

Get Framed Frame 50 inspiring images - kid's masterpieces? - in a flash. This kind of paper is notorious, & if they have a home (see above) you can enjoy them and boost the artist's confidence. Dynamic Frames' "art cabinet" holds a semester of paper, & its "door" is a frame. When full, send 95% to recycling & 5% to the memory bin. |

Give Clean Water I FINALLY watched the documentary Flow. I can always get water at a moment's notice; what a huge barrier to personal advancement - let alone to staying healthy - to walk 3 hours every day for 1 container of dirty water. Flow lists lots of practical nonprofits. I donated to charity:water & would love to hear of others! |
