Do Leave Notes for Yourself
This is one of my favorites. Stop reinventing the wheel: leave notes for yourself listing everything to be gathered or done for a certain activity. Put them in your gym bag (bring water bottle!), laundry basket (wash cloth napkins!), beach bag (baby powder!), camping supplies (marshmallows!). Everyone loves to get mail... |

Don't Miss Your Summer Take a hard look at your calendar - literally look at it - and cut anything that's only supposedly fun or worthwhile. (If that book club or non-essential work project is getting you down, axe it.) Next, be sure you've scheduled enough beach days. Finally, book several fortifying blocks of down-time for puttering at home. |

Get a Treasured Map I love this foldable, laminated city map. (Do it yourself with Contact paper or OfficeMax's lamination geniuses.) It's sturdy and easy to find in my bag, which means it's easy for me to plan my route - a time-saver for even nearby errands. Plus, it's a great seat cover for impromptu picnics and trips to the beach! |
