Do Make an Quick Get-Away
Make it easy to head for the tropics, or any other trip, with a Travel Packing List to use each time you pack. List things you always bring (charger); add a "?" to those you sometimes bring (waffles?). Extra credit: make a Travel To Do List (water plants). Keep the list in your luggage, or address book under "Travel." |

Don't Kick Yourself Leave the "to" field blank while drafting an email until you've finished it and have read it over once. This way, even if you accidentally hit "send" the message won't be able to go anywhere. You'll avoid sending the dreaded half-finished message and, better yet, give yourself time to cool down before sending the annoyed one. |

Get De-Fuzzed
I was resigned to pills on the sweaters and coats I wear so often during Chicago winters, but a new day dawned when I picked up an old-fashioned sweater shaver ($7 - $15) at Joann's. Be careful when using this on fragile clothes, but for most pieces this baby really works, and provides a satisfying sense of accomplishment. |
