Make 2009 the Year You Finally Get Organized (Enough)

Hello and Happy New Year! This is a quick monthly tip list provided by Molly Boren of Simplicity Works Home and Office Organizing Services. I hope it makes your life a little easier.
Remember: if it takes 2 minutes or less, do it now! I.e., read this and then file or delete it - wouldn't want it to become e-clutter...

Do Stand Tall

Here's a cheap way to care for the tall boots that take such good care of you in this winter weather. Save 4 cardboard cylinders from inside rolls of paper towel (or ask a friend). Tape 2 together, side by side lengthwise, and do the same with the other 2. Slip each double-cylinder into a boot and they'll stand proud and tall.

DON'T

Don't Get Phished

We know not to click through on links that appear in unsolicited emails, even (especially) from banks and the like. If the email is from a financial institution you actually use and the site looks legit, try entering an incorrect password as an extra precaution. You'll know the site is fake if it's accepted.

Sign up online for Kerasotes Theatres' free Five Buck Club card and see $5 movies starting 2 weeks after release. Chicago-area theaters: Webster Ave./Clybourn Ave., Western Ave./Logan Blvd, and Village Crossing in Skokie. Pinch even more pennies at the Western theater with free popcorn on Tuesdays.
