NAHS Introduces 2013 Pet Calendar
 | | Rufus-available for adoption |
Naperville Area Humane Society is excited to announce the introduction of its new 2013 Pet Calendar. This full-color, high quality wall calendar will showcase pets from our community.
Anyone can submit a picture of their pet(s) and all submitted photos will appear in the calendar. The entry fee of $40 covers the photo submission and includes one calendar. Additional calendars may be purchased for $15 each. Photo submissions will be accepted through July 31 and calendars are available on a pre-order basis until August 31. The printed calendar will debut at the Black Cat Ball on October 19 and then be available for sale at NAHS events, the shelter and select pet stores.

"NAHS is very excited to offer these new calendars. It provides a great opportunity to showcase those pets who already have great homes and, more importantly, allows us to raise funds and awareness for the pets in the shelter," said Angie Wood, executive director at NAHS.
Photos of all types of pets are welcome and will appear in the calendar. The best photos will be selected for the cover and Pet-of-the-Month pages.
Guidelines for the photos and more information is available here. Don't forget! Photos will be accepted through July 31 so submit your photo today!

Results of the Human Race
Thank you all for your participation and support of the NAHS team in the Human Race! On June 8, Giving DuPage, the race sponsor, held an event to announce the winners of the race.
NAHS received two of the four awards available! The first award was for the non-profit with the most participants - NAHS won with 131 walkers and runners (no dogs were counted in the total!). The second award was for the number of participants raising funds for the organization and NAHS won with 22 fundraisers. Between registrations, funds raised and monetary awards, the total for NAHS was $7,183.51! These funds will go toward the kitchen renovation which is expected to start this fall.
We appreciate everyone's support for this event and look forward to building an even bigger team next year on April 27, 2013!
